AT&T Offers a Battery Charger Made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

Picture of an AT&T sign. In a technology-driven market, we rely heavily on our smart phones, lap tops, tablets and MP3 players to get us through the day. For those constantly connected and on-the-go, as well as environmentally aware, AT&T is now offering a battery charger that is made from recycled plastic water bottles.

The Motorola P793 Back-Up Battery Charger is a portable device compatible with all USB devices by major manufacturers. The external housing is made of 25% recycled post-consumer water bottles. So that water bottle that's in your car, or sitting on your desk, or stashed in your tote bag could end up helping add extra juice to your smart phone when you're running low on battery - no matter where you are. In addition, the charger shuts off automatically once your device is fully charged, so no energy is wasted.

By using recycled plastic packaging material, AT&T and Motorola are helping to reduce plastic waste that might otherwise end up in a growing landfill. Not only that, but the more recycled plastic used means less virgin plastic material that must be produced - less toxins going into the air and into the ground, and a cleaner, greener environment as a result.

Heritage Pioneer offers sustainable packaging solutions that help businesses save money while reducing their environmental impact.
